[104] MeerKAT Financial Valuation

Public notice: This is a public call for tenders.

The SKAO aims to appoint a service provider to perform a valuation of the MeerKAT telescope, to determine the fair value that SKAO should account for at the time of acquisition of the assets. It is expected that the acquisition will complete in early-2026, but a valuation date of 19th September 2025 is deemed appropriate for the valuation report. A review of the expected useful lives of the assets is also required. The SKAO reports its financial statements under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) but also refers to International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) for guidance where needed. The valuation technique should therefore meet IFRS requirements. This procurement is limited to Tenderer’s that are based in one of the following SKAO Member Countries and also have products and services available in regions that are physically located in the member countries below. This will be assessed and is mandatory as part of the RFQ.
