Söderhamns kommun genomför en ombyggnation av storköket vid Norrtull som en del av arbetet med att framtidssäkra måltidsverksamheten. Dagens köksmiljö har tjänat verksamheten väl under många år, men lokaler och teknik är från en tidigare tid och motsvarar inte fullt ut dagens krav på arbetsmiljö, hållbar drift och moderna arbetssätt. Genom att modernisera köket skapas bättre förutsättningar för en stabil och långsiktigt fungerande matproduktion för kommunens verksamheter. Syftet med satsningen är att säkerställa en driftsäker produktion över tid och skapa en modern och funktionell arbetsmiljö som möjliggör effektiva och hållbara arbetssätt samt minska sårbarheten i verksamheten. Under byggnationen av storköket som detta förfrågningsunderlag avser, kommer varutransporter till matsalen och mottagningsköket i anslutning att levereras genom intransport via skolentrén på skolgården vidare via den befintliga hissen till det övre planet till matserveringen.
